Our official first blog to kick off our Feature Friday Monthly is from Justin Press, Class of 85!
If you would like to be a featured, please Email or DM from the Facebook page. We would love to hear from you.

We tapped kegs, we hopped fences, fought after school then shook hands, broke the cassette player to Def Leppard, wore Sperrys when we didn’t know how to sail, danced on Friday nights in the same place we brown bagged it that afternoon, we hit the midnight movie and never heard a word, worked p/t at the Mall to earn our date money, recited Fast Times more than we can remember, played sports from Blue Raider to our senior year, and skated our urethane off at Rollerland, spent the summers cruising to nowhere and couldn’t wait for the first football game at Farrington Field.
Little did we know that those days were fleeting. The years passed and some forgot about life before 18, some moved on secure in their adulthood with no need to revisit, and some may have not had those memories, fair play to them all. But the rest of us, we understand that even though it was just (4) years together, it helped shape us as people, and we forged lifelong friendships that helped us navigate life and all of its challenges and successes and yes, sadly, failures but through it all those bonds remain.
So to come back together is not about reliving the past, or nullifying the present but just about looking at each other with a smile and saying “hey, we’re still here” and celebrating those formative years as they bring back laughter, tears and take us full circle.
And the funny thing is, the Def Leppard tapes still sound really fucking good. -JP
